Family life meant so much to Philip - his family was important to him. He believed he had been lucky and had enjoyed the treasured moments and close relationships which a loving family gives. Before he died he wished to permanently convey some of his sentiments. The World Family is the essence of all he tried to express. He wrote: | |||
"It is a typical balanced and harmonious family - father, mother,
boy and girl. As they all hold hands the parents lean back with their
eyes fixed on the light of the candle - the goodness of God. The children
look down and continue to play. They ought to be able to enjoy their
childhood free from anxiety and worry.

Parents should accept the responsibility
of parenthood - children are a gift which they should treasure. The
essence of family life is sharing - both happiness and sorrow. It has
nothing to do with money. The whole piece is to personify the hope,
love and happiness that life in future will hold, where all is love
and harmony under one Supreme Being. No famine, no racism, no hatred,
no war. It is the culmination of all that is good and true.

There is only one hemisphere because the
other is symbolically in darkness. My dearest wish is that people throughout
the world will learn to live together in peace, harmony and love just
as I and my family do" | |||
